Happy Pride Day to everyone!
The 36th Annual Pride Interfaith Service was held at Old South Church in Boston, MA today, followed by an energetic, colorful and loved-filled Pride Parade that I marched in today with thousands of others.
Chants of: **“Have Pride, Have Faith” **“No matter who you are, No matter what you do, You are welcome in our churches cuz God Loves You” Resounded through the crowd 🙂
David H., a progressive and inclusive Catholic chose this verse for today:
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
“This love of which I speak is slow to lose patience – it looks for a way of being constructive. It is not possessive; it is neither anxious to impress nor does it cherish inflated ideas of its own importance. Love has good manners and does not pursue selfish advantage. It is not touchy. It does not keep account of evil or gloat over the wickedness of other people. On the contrary, it is glad with all good people when truth prevails. Love knows no limit of its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast everything. It is, in fact, the only thing that stands when all else has fallen.”
It was an incredible day in celebration of Equal Love! ❤
